Kimbo Slice

Kimbo Slice is a hit sensation for The Ultimate Fighter reality TV show. Here are some interesting facts about Kimbo that most people don't know. Kimbo's real name is Kevin Ferguson. Kimbo was born in Nassau, Bahamas. Kimbo got his popularity through street fights that were promoted through the internet. The name "Kimbo" was a childhood nick name, and after his first taped street fight, he cut his opponent over his right eye giving him the nickname "Slice". The rest is history. Everyone knows that Kimbo excells at striking, but his ground game is his weakness. Ironically enough, Kimbo's cousin, is Rhadi Ferguson (pictured below) who happens to be an Olympian Judoka. Judo players have excellent ground control and submissions...it might be wise for Kimbo to take a lesson from his cousin. Kimbo's only street fight loss on tape was against Sean Gannon.

Submission Effects wants to give Kimbo props for having excellent punching skills. However, we do recognize that Kimbo needs some help on the ground...so Submission Effects would like to support Kimbo as he develops his ground game. Kimbo, shoot me an email or call me for a free Ju-Jitsu Gi and 6 months of free Japanese Ju-Jitsu training.
